The Club

A private club in the rolling country west of Rochester.

Somerby opened in Byron in 2004, on ground of wooded stands, meandering creeks and grassy marshland. It has become the kind of club where a Saturday begins on the first tee and ends at a table on The Patio; the round is simply the reason you arrived.

The Course

Among the top ten in Minnesota.

John Fought and Tom Lehman laid 7,038 yards through wooded stands, meandering creeks and grassy marshland. Golf Digest ranks the course among the top ten in the state.

It hosted the Showdown at Somerby in 2006 and again in 2007.

The Clubhouse

Our members would tell you the Clubhouse is the reason they stay.

All 35,000 square feet of it: The Chophouse for an unhurried dinner, The Grille for lunch after nine holes, The Patio when the evening is warm enough to stay outside, and the Ballroom for the occasions that deserve the whole room.

Racquets and the pool

Courts and the pool sit a short walk from the Clubhouse terrace, and the season runs as long as Minnesota will allow it.

Membership at Somerby is private and limited. Four categories cover most of the ways a family uses the club; a short conversation will tell you which one fits.
